Bundesliga: Mirko Slomka set to sign contract extension at Hannover

Hannover hope to announce the signing of a contract extension with manager Mirko Slomka in the near future.

The 45-year-old's current deal expires in the summer of 2013 but an agreement over fresh terms is thought to be close.
Slomka has earned praise since taking over at Hannover almost three years ago and the club currently sit sixth in the Bundesliga after taking 14 points from 10 games.
And a new contract could be close, as Hannover chairman Martin Kind told SportNews: "We feel we have resolved all essential matters recently.
"From our point of view, we are close to an agreement.
"If a deal would be just up to us, we could declare a new contract agreement ahead of our upcoming Bundesliga match against Stuttgart."
